Meet Bree
Breanna brings a passion for special education, student growth, and individualized support to the OATECA Transition Center. Her experience working as a paraprofessional in special education has allowed her to support students with a wide range of abilities while building meaningful relationships and helping each student reach their individual goals.
Throughout her time in special education, Breanna has worked closely with students to provide academic, behavioral, and social support while encouraging independence and confidence. Her experiences in the elementary setting helped her develop a strong understanding of the importance of meeting students where they are and recognizing that success can look different for every individual.
Breanna is excited to continue her journey in special education by working with young adults as they prepare for life beyond the traditional school setting. She is especially passionate about helping individuals develop the practical skills, confidence, and independence needed to navigate adulthood and become active members of their communities.
As a member of the OATECA Transition Center team, Breanna is committed to creating a supportive and encouraging environment where individuals feel valued, capable, and empowered to work toward their personal goals. She believes that every person deserves opportunities to grow, build independence, and create a meaningful life based on their own strengths, interests, and dreams.
My Why
My why is simple: I believe every person deserves the opportunity to become as independent, confident, and fulfilled as possible.
My experience in special education has taught me that growth often happens in the smallest moments—trying something independently, learning to advocate for yourself, gaining confidence in a new skill, or discovering that you are capable of more than you thought.
I am passionate about recognizing each individual’s strengths, honoring their goals, and providing the tools, encouragement, and opportunities they need to grow. I never want to define someone by what they cannot do, but by what they can do and what they hope to accomplish.
At the OATECA Transition Center, I am honored to support individuals as they navigate the exciting—and sometimes overwhelming—transition into adulthood. My goal is to help each person build the skills, confidence, independence, and community connections needed to create a meaningful life beyond school.
Because sometimes the smallest skill learned today creates greater independence tomorrow—and there is nothing more rewarding than helping someone discover, “I can do this.”
